PACKING
AND SHIPPING CONSULTING SERVICES
Rutledge Scarborough
Services:
Great computer programmer, packaging & shipping training, crate
building made easy, large freight training, bookkeeping, accounting,
customer service training, store design, store locating, store operations,
and most importantly, consulting on whether or not you should open
a mail and parcel center. Rutledge is too modest in his biography.
In essence, he didn't want to write about himself, so we did this
for him with pleasure!
Vita:
Rutledge started his work life very early at the age of fifteen
working in a family auto parts company at the retail counter, doing
deliveries, cleaning, and overseeing and working in the warehouse.
In his part time as a teenager, he totally rebuilt autos for his
own pleasure in racing and fun on the sand and for four-wheeling
in the mountains.
When he went
to college at Clemson University, he designed and built his own
solar powered home and lived in it until he moved to Charlotte.
The move was prompted by Duke Energy, which hired him to be a nuclear
production engineer.
Rutledge is
a mechanical engineer by formal education and a nuclear production
engineer. After writing software performance applications for the
nuclear power industry for 20 years, Rutledge is now writing software
for the packaging and shipping industry (see The
Packaging Expert).
He started a
chain of retail packaging and shipping stores when it was a new
industry, so he knows the in's and out's of it quite well. He and
Fran have won five national awards
in this industry while working with a franchise. In addition, they
were voted as the vendor with the best products and services at
the Associated Mail & Parcel Centers National Convention in
2004. This was an award voted by the members at the convention,
which to them is the highest award, so they are most appreciative.
Rutledge is
a certification trainer for AMPC (Associated Mail & Parcel Centers)
teaching Basic Packing and Advanced Packing.
Rut is too modest
to have written much about himself, so we (the staff) have added
to his biography. We have received rave reviews on his training,
store designs, and crate building training, not to mention the fact
that he's fun to talk to about new ideas.
Don't ask Rut
what time it is, since he will tell you how to build a watch! That's
what it takes these days in his position!
